Former Snellville City Attorney Mike Byrne today endorsed Barbara Bender in her campaign for Mayor.
Barbara Bender, who previously announced her campaign for Mayor, resigned from the Snellville City Council at Monday’s City Council Meeting. The law requires council members to resign when they are seeking another office. Bender also announced that she has raised nearly $20,000 for her campaign.
The Snellville Commerce Club hosted US Congressman Rob Woodall at it’s September 2nd meeting. Congressman Woodall gave us his perspective of what it will take to change the course of our Federal government.
On the first day possible, Barbara Bender has qualified to run for Mayor of Snellville. Barbara made the commitment to run for this office in February of this year after serving the city for the past six years on council.
Snellville City Mayor Pro Tem Barbara Bender officially announced her campaign for Mayor of Snellville today. The current Mayor, Jerry Oberholtzer, is term-limited and is not eligible for re-election.
Mayor Pro Tem Bender also announced that she raised over $4K in less than a month, even before officially announcing her candidacy.
